We helped FIBA deliver their flagship competition across 8 cities including the ticket launch ceremony, the official tournament ball and court designs, mascot and trophy promotional videos, print and digital stationary, partner event reviews and many other important assets required to stage a prestigious World Cup event.
Our design teams designed the look of the Molten Official Ball and produced the launch film, portraying its revolutionary technology and authentic styling through an exploration of texture, rhythm, power and poise.
FIBA commissioned our motion department to produce a partnership engagement film to reveal the tournament basketball court designs and also to build and render a fully photorealistic model of the new World Cup trophy, for use across broadcast and AR environments.
WORKS assisted FIBA over several months to develop the World Cup Mascot, ‘Son of Dreams’. Having evolved the design concept and mascot story and built the 3D character we created the official reveal animation, and animated stings, along with a comprehensive suite of digital and print related assets for the competition sponsors & partners.
After a successful competitive tender, FIBA asked us to completely redesign their tv graphics package in 4K for the World Cup. The 150+ item package was carefully crafted with both the event brand and clarity of data in mind. Both traditional and dynamic infogfx were created to deliver more information to the viewer than ever before in world basketball.
