FEI commissioned WORKS to develop the identity for LONGINES League of Nations, the pinnacle of jumping team competition. The competition format was reviewed with the aim to elevate the event to the highest level.
With a new format and LONGINES as the title sponsor we had to develop the brand positioning and ensure it encapsulated FEI and LONGINES common values before we could start the visual creative process.

Where Paneka
Meets Ronaldo
We were commissioned by UEFA to develop the UEFA EURO 2024™ ‘Home of Football’ concept and bring the on-air brand package to life.
In an ambitious first for UEFA, an illustrated titles concept placed the biggest EURO legends of all eras into a single reimagined environment.
We packed the brand-inspired EURO 2024™ stadium with colour and energy, for a tone-setting, larger-than-life celebration of some of the tournament’s most iconic moments.

Frame-by-frame
authenticity
Employing a frame-by-frame rotopaint technique, we translated UEFA EURO™ archive footage, paying particular attention to facial details and iconic kit designs.
Celebrating
rhythm and
emotion
To celebrate the cultural diversity of Germany, fans were represented by a sea of bouncing colour that flows through the country and into the stadium to fill the stands with rhythm and emotion.

Re-imagined
icons
Our wider programming elements package presented key EURO 2024™ brand assets, including the Henri Delaunay trophy and host city stadiums, as reimagined 3D models on a map of Europe.

A mascot for a
new era
Our team conceptualised and created JIP, the mascot for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023™.
JIP’s origin story was rooted in the digital world of gaming and instant messaging, yet tied back to the environment – educating younger fans about the importance of recycling and social responsibility.
From this came the mascot design. A character that celebrated basketball, while being a beacon of responsibility for our planet and an interactive source of informative entertainment for young people and adults alike.

Bringing JIP
to life
To introduce the mascot to the world, we created a launch video that explained JIP’s creators, conception and mission.
Steeped in culture
and values
Through a set of animated stings for social media and digital screens at events, we highlighted JIP’s mission. These stings carried cultural references from the three host countries of Japan, Indonesia and Philippines, and expanded JIP’s story.
A first for fan
engagement
We then created – for the first time in the Basketball World Cup’s history – a dedicated microsite for the mascot, giving JIP’s fans access to web apps and downloadable content. This created further scope to activate campaigns and build excitement around the event.
Upping the game
on social media
We produced a full suite of social media static and animated stickers across various platforms including: Line, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

FIBA U19 Women’s
& Men’s Basketball
World Cup™
Trophies

3D animation
The U19 launch film explores and re-enforces the creative concept of ‘rising stars’ – using precise, clean, geometric, yet organic animated scenes. A climb up into the light sees mechanical structures forming and interlocking to represent the coming together of teammates; aligning the future stars of the game.

FIBA U17 Women’s
& Men’s Basketball
World Cup™
Trophies

3D animation
The U17’s trophy film highlights the concept of ‘diamond in the rough’. We see the future stars form from rough and organic rock, combined with an infusion of raw gold, creating something new, striking and quite unique – injected with a blast of youth culture, energy and vibrancy.

FIBA Women’s
Eurobasket™
Trophy

3D animation
Our brief was to design and produce the trophy for the FIBA Women’s Eurobasket flagship tournament.
Part of the FIBA trophy family and sister to the Men’s Eurobasket trophy, the sleek and elegant design seeks to offer the premium tournament a representation of its offer with a trophy that holds true to its traditions whilst emulating the values of the competition in contemporary way.

Unity
Crafted from 16 distinct cast shapes, symbolising the teams competing, the design comes together to form a blooming, flower-like emblem. Featuring a gold interior and a silver exterior with subtle gold accents, it elegantly mirrors the men’s trophy, reinforcing the unity between the two competitions while retaining a recognisable silhouette of its predecessor.

For our second FIBA Basketball World Cup™ ball launch for Molten, we went back to highlighting the ball’s unique technical advantages. The launch video was used across Molten channels and at the event and we also did several edits for social media.

Molten asked WORKS to develop a brand campaign around their newest range of Vantaggio footballs. The aim was to raise awareness of the brand which had been the supplier of UEFA Europa League’s ball from 2018 to 2024 and UEFA Europa Conference League from 2021.

Play fierce
The inspiration for the brand/campaign was predators (?). Vantaggio models ranged from durable grass roots balls to the UEFA match ready ball featuring ACCENTEC technology. Each model was assigned a predators of which their look and feel originated from.

Exploring
vantaggio
WORKS produced a customer facing film that was built around features and habitats of the predators while a B2B technical film was developed explaining the benefits of each individual model.

Upon request of the Ministry of Sport in Saudi Arabia, WORKS developed a new brand identity for Saudi Sports Company.
As the sole sports broadcaster in the Kingdom, SSC required a fresh, contemporary and versatile brand to appeal to the under-30 demographic, who represent 70% of the population.
Drawing upon the country’s history the brand was activated across a range of placements from corporate products to broadcast.
As the only local sports broadcaster in the Kingdom, SSC required a fresh, contemporary and versatile brand to appeal to the under-30 demographic, who represent 70% of the population.
Broadcast
package
As part of the broadcast package WORKS created a 10 second ident to reveal the SSC logo. This consisted of a range of 3D animations focused around the diamond that is a constant throughout the brand.

Within the broadcast graphics, WORKS looked at how the brand would be used across a range of sports TV graphics including but not limited to Football, F1 and American Football. This involved looking at scoreclocks, title sequences, full-frame line ups and more.

Studio
design
SSC also launched Sports Center, an all encompassing sports news programme covering all major sports and IPs broadcast on the network.
WORKS were tasked with designing the overall concept, identity, title sequence and broadcast graphics for a wide variety of coverage.

Having created the previous identities, our goal in 2021 was to refresh the branding for the next tournament tailor it for a growing audience.
We re-crafted the logo’s iconic ring of stars to strengthen the connections concept that also represents the tournament’s aspirational values.
The whole secondary brand system, including colour palettes and graphic elements were designed for a coherent look across all collateral, including on and off-air applications.
The visual identity helped UEFA Women’s Champions League™ set the benchmark for women’s football competitions.

A celebration
of legacy
The on-air brand imagined the ‘dream’ trophy design as a physical entity, initially formed and embellished by iridescent light. The titles celebrated the best action from the tournament’s rich legacy, while the sequence culminated with the real trophy that future champions will hold.

Dreams in motion
As part of the new brand identity, we were commissioned to devise and produce a new on-air and digital toolkit. This included opening titles, stings, promos, wipes, studio loops and maps.
A clear vision
on screen
We designed and animated the core on-screen graphics for the package, building a suite of on-brand assets.
